We Made It!

So! Lubbock, Texas is now where we call home. It's finally starting to feel that way... a month later. Settling in, and finding that it's not so bad being Texans. I'm still job searching, but something will turn up, it has to, right?!

I've been working on getting the house together. Lot's of painting, and lots of empty rooms so far, but it'll get there! Unfortunately, every room in our house was painted this "lovely" mauve... so we've been in the business of covering up. Not the most fun, but having our colors on the walls sure have made it feel a lot more homey. We have been scouring craigslist for good deals, look at this awesome couch we found a week or so ago! Now our "parlor" isn't completely empty!!

So, we now have a little bit of seating, and the walls are no longer mauve. Still, its a big room, and it has a while to go. We have a wingback chair that I'm going to take on as my first reupholstery project sometime very soon and put it there.
